the future is tomorrow

So big things have been happening lately. Like yesterday, when we graduated from college. And now we're together, but tomorrow's the future. Cheers! (that's champagne in the teacups.)

Sasha is staying Worcester to do work she loves; Anna is road-tripping home to Florida with her Mommy and planning a near future move to Austin. We're going to stay friends forever and keep blogging for the foreseeable future.

long ago and far away

With all the chaos of graduating and moving, I completely forgot these pictures! Even though it's only been a week, Worcester seems a lifetime away. These shots are a great reminder of the great last days of college, when Sasha and I (along with a few other stylish people) walked to Elm Park to have a picnic!

Everyone took turns wearing my new fedora, which is perfect, and was perfectly cheap from Forever21. I see it being an important part of my wardrobe this summer.

But enough reminiscing! Time to embrace the hot Florida sun and jump in the pool.

thinking pink

Ever since I decided to make a pink skirt, I've been obsessed with pink! And since everyone around here is moving soon, we are swapping clothes like mad. So I have a new pink shirt too. I kind of threw caution to the wind and wore them together on Friday night. Embrace the pink!

Oh yeah, I also got a pink dress to wear to graduation and a purse with pink accents to go with it.

Dress Your Best

We're a little late, but I just came across Dress Your Best Week on academicchic. The idea is to dress to highlight what you like about your body instead of hiding what you don't like. Lots of bloggers are participating - check it out!

Red Diamonds and Purple Flowers

Anna is the editor of Clark's life, culture, and style magazine, Stir. (You can find it on Lulu) This is what we wore to the release party for the spring issue:

Anna's adorable feet!

Basic, but always cute.

secret: this scarf is the bottom of a dress that my dance troupe used as a costume

We are so close to graduation, but still a week of fun senior events away!

spring chill

I did it! I finally used this tutorial and made my own skirt. It's not perfect, or even close to perfect, but it's the first thing I've ever sewn on a machine since 7th grade Home Ec.

I used a little scrap of fabric as a headband, wore my floral docs, and viola! I look kind of like an overgrown little girl. (Not a bad thing.)

Sasha, on the other hand, is the picture of sophistication in her trench coat and boots.

We wore these outfits on a surprisingly chilly day (which has turned into a surprisingly chilly week) to get coffee. The freedom of the days between finals ending and graduation is amazing, but we don't know what to do with ourselves most of the time!

P.S. Check out our new header! Sasha made it, isn't it pretty?

floral fantasy

Now that I'm done with all my classes and final projects and basically college in general (oh my!) I'm spending my time either job hunting or fantasizing about floral dresses to wear on summertime strolls. For the record, I prefer the latter.

I have found my ideal summer outfit on Gap.com!

Once that whole job thing is figured out (keep all fingers and toes crossed!) maybe my fantasies can become reality.

catching up

My classes are done, we had the last event for one of my clubs tonight, my last college dance show is over, the last gathering for my other club is tomorrow, and I just have two papers to finish up...it's a bittersweet, I have loved college, but I'm ready for this part of my life to be done. For the next three weeks, I'll be spending my fabulous free time with my favorite people (including a trip home for mother's day and my sister's return and lots of senior week festivities) and my only committed time will be at my great new internship that is hopefully going to become a job. The first weekend of May was great, and I think the whole month will be!

Anyway, now that I'm pretty much done with normal commitments and have three weeks off, I can finally catch up with the blog world. Here's the few pictures I managed to take recently:

my family visited and we found great deals on trench coats (my spring must-have for this year) at Macy's:
